- Recertification Program Requirements:

- Sponsored by extension educator.
Minimum 2 consecutive hours (not counting breaks) on pesticide-related topic(s).
Program speakers can be extension educator, extension specialist, local expert,
or any combination.
An approved regulatory topicmust be included in every program. See the Educators
Resources for the list of approved topics along with the corresponding
PowerPoint and publication.
A fee of $10 is collected from every private applicator that wishes to receive
credit toward recertification. Additional fees may be charged to cover expenses,
such as a meal.

- Program Approval:
- Program must be submitted no less than
2 weeks in advance to Cheri Janssen.
Include date, time, location, topic(s) presented, length of presentation and
contact. Submit via mail, fax, email (a hard copy is needed). It's
helpful to include on the website and program phone line if advanced registration
is required or fees other than the $10 will be charged.
Approval will be given within one week and a program number will
be assigned.
Program can be submitted for CCHs (to Joanie Herman, OISC) and
CCCs (Brian Peach, CCA at 1-800-387-1283); each a separate process.

- At the Program:
- Private applicators must complete attendance
sheet (PARP-1).
Collect $10 and give a receipt that includes the program number.
A column to record money received was added to attendance sheet
to assist you with county financial records.

- After the Program:
- Copy then keep the copies of the attendance
sheets.
Total the number of PA's attending and make a check to Purdue
University in the amount of $7/PA. You keep $3.
Complete the Sponsor Form (PARP-2).
Send Sponsor Form, Attendance sheets, and check to Cheri Janssen,
Purdue Pesticide Programs.
Attendance sheets and Sponsor form must be complete before credit
will be given for the program.
