A grower/farmer wants to obtain a private pesticide applicator permit for the first time, what does he do?
Beginning in 2001, first-time permit holders will be required to take an exam taken from the pesticide core manual. Exams are given at Purdue University West Lafayette campus and at regional sites. Extension educators and this website can provide exact dates and locations.

How much does a private pesticide applicator permit cost?
The permit costs $20. If you choose to recertify by attending three pesticide programs it will be $10 for each program.

Is there a minimum age requirement for the Private Pesticide Applicator Permit?
No.

I've lost my permit, can I get another?
Yes you can call Purdue Pesticide Programs at 765/496-7499 or Office of Indiana State Chemist at 765/494-6271. There is no charge for a replacment.
